About tsunami

A tsunami is when an earthquake occurs, the ground near the epicenter is lifted or pushed down. An earthquake occurs in the ocean, and the epicenter is below the ocean floor. At shallow depths, changes in the seabed surface that move up and down move the entire seawater from the seafloor to the sea surface, and the sea level also changes up and down. in this way This is a phenomenon in which the changes in seawater that occur spread out into the surrounding area as waves.

Difference between wave and tsunami

Waves are waves when only seawater near the sea surface surges, and tsunamis are waves when all the seawater surges from the ocean floor to the sea surface.
